It has certainly been a painful two months without Manchester United Football Club in action.
However, the United Kingdom, slowly but surely, seems to be easing up measures and trending in a positive direction – which hopefully, in the not too distant future, will lead to a resumption of competitive football.
Behind the scenes, Manchester United stars will have been doing all they can to keep those fitness levels up, but working solo will inevitably take it’s toll. At the end of the day, there’s nothing like playing in a proper match or working hard in training with your teammates.
The good news? Our lads have been back training together, at a local cricket club.
As you can see from the pictures below via @UTDReport/Manchester Evening News, some of the lads are back in training for the first time since the lockdown began – including Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.
So apparently the United stars were putting in the shift at a local cricket ground, obviously maintaining social distancing as they’re from different households.
However, this feels like the next step towards a possible return to action, which is obviously great news for us fans.
Yes, it still may be a while before us supporters get to pack out Old Trafford again, but right now I’d take behind-closed-doors action as it feels like the safe, logical choice.
