Sergio Romero – Had a quiet game for the most part, but made a couple of big saves late on to preserve his clean sheet. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Nice to see him back in the team. Had a steady game but I’m pretty sure his future lies further up the field. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Played well, though he wasn’t really tested. 6/10
Eric Bailly – Cool as a cucumber throughout. Surely he’s the permanent partner for Harry Maguire provided he can keep fit? 6/10
Luke Shaw – Picked up where he left off once again. Bombed down that left-flank all game and was a real threat on that Derby goal. I truly hope he gets awarded that first goal. A brilliant all-round display. 8/10
Scott McTominay – It’s brilliant to see him back in the team but he wasn’t great tonight. I’ll put it down to rustiness. It was nice to see him embroiled in that one-on-one battle, though. 5/10
Fred – Kept things ticking over throughout. He’s really turned into a cornerstone of this United line up. Fair play. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Things weren’t really coming off for him this evening, but this lad just makes it happen. He’s quality and we’re so lucky to have him. 6/10
Juan Mata – Showed some nice touches and played some good balls forward. 5/10
Jesse Lingard – Improved as the game wore on. It looked as though he was getting that confidence back, slowly but surely. 5/10
Odion Ighalo – He’s the sort of striker who will score those scrappy, scruffy goals – which is what this team needs. It’s brilliant to see him score two top-quality strikes while playing with a smile on his face. 8/10
Andreas Pereira – It was good for him to get some minutes under the belt.
Anthony Martial – Didn’t really get involved.
Brandon Williams – Not enough time to mark.
