David de Gea – The question marks are rightfully being raised, he should have done better with Leroy Sane’s goal. 3/10
Matteo Darmian – For a man who hasn’t started a game in 2019, he did alright. It was always going to be tough for him though. 5/10
Chris Smalling – Easily United’s best player. He dealt with Sergio Aguero extremely well. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Looked shaky at times, often caught out of position. 4/10
Luke Shaw – I’d like to see him bomb forward more often. Defensively, he struggled with City’s brilliant movement. 4/10
Ashley Young – Just dreadful. Slow, lethargic, one-dimensional, nervous and plainly not good enough. He’s our captain, by the way. 2/10
Andreas Pereira – Got about the field well but when in possession he just doesn’t have the quality. 4/10
Fred – The intent was there but when it came to the execution Fred was sloppy. 4/10
Paul Pogba – Played a couple of nice passes, showed his strength on multiple occasions but he was often overrun. He did go missing at times, though. 4/10
Jesse Lingard – Quiet. He isn’t having a good season at all. Injuries haven’t helped but it feels as though he is no longer making those intelligent runs that we became so used to seeing. 3/10
Marcus Rashford – His pace was causing Kompany problems in the early goings, but as the game wore on he looked exhausted. 4/10
Anthony Martial – Didn’t get into the game.
Alexis Sanchez – Touched the ball once. Inside his own half.
Romelu Lukaku – Tried to make things happen but had his back to goal far too often.
