Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has featured in just eight games this season, as his injury-hit season continues to frustrate.
The Red Devils have since signed Bruno Fernandes to add some quality in an area that has largely been bereft of it, though there’s still nobody anyone as talented as Pogba within this squad.
Well, the Daily Mail has finally given us some good news, and they say that Paul Pogba is determined to play a leading role in Man United’s run-in as he closes in on a return to full fitness.
Furthermore, there has been a timeframe placed upon his availability, with the French international hoping of commencing outdoor training at the AON Training Complex within a fortnight.
Following that, it is hoped that his rehabilitation goes according to plan and he could be available for selection within another two weeks. The first game he could play in upon return? The Manchester derby…
Having a player like Pogba back and ready to play for the all-important run-in is absolutely massive. He could aid our bid to battle it out in three competitions, while looking to boost his own personal stock ahead of what feels like an inevitable move away.
Unfortunately, his return to Manchester simply hasn’t worked. For the most part, Pogba has underwhelmed and this season definitely sums up his three-and-a-half-year stay back ‘home’. At this point, I’m just bored of all the talk surrounding the mercurial Frenchman and maybe it’d be better off for everyone if they went their separate ways.
