Manchester United’s £89m club-record signing desires a move to the Bernabeu too.
The World Cup winner with France is hoping to force his way out of Old Trafford it seems.
The midfielder came close to quitting the club earlier this season after his relationship with Jose Mourinho totally broke down.
Mourinho’s sacking and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s arrival quelled exit talk for some time, but the turbulent final two months of the season has resulted in Pogba looking to go again.
Hazard is bound for the Bernabeu once Chelsea and Real reach an agreement over a fee.
They are still some way apart as the Blues hold out for around £112m for their talismanic forward while Real want to pay closer to £85m.
Hazard has already agreed personal terms with the Spanish side, though, and told Chelsea of his wish to join Zinedine Zidane’s side.
The news surrounding Hazard and Pogba’s potential moves to Madrid comes as:
“He would be leapfrogged in the pay roll by unsettled Pogba”
According to The Sun, Real are expected to announce a deal worth £400,000-a-week for Hazard after the Europa League final when he makes his final appearance for Chelsea against Arsenal on May 29.
Real are ultimately likely to pay around the £100m mark for the 28-year-old who has just 12 months remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
But while the La Liga giants have prioritised signings Hazard this summer, he would be leapfrogged in the pay roll by unsettled Pogba.
The Manchester United star, who has failed to live up to his billing at United since returning from Juventus in 2016, would cost in excess of £100m.
The Red Devils are poised to demand a huge fee for the 26-year-old, with Real looking at Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen as a £55m alternative.
Pogba also wants massive wages in Madrid, as The Sun add he is holding out for £500,000-a-week.
That would see him take home £100,000 more each week than Hazard.
Gareth Bale is currently Real’s top earner on more than £600,000-a-week.
Zidane, though, has been given a major transfer warchest to overhaul the squad and high wages can be demanded by incoming players.
Real Madrid are keen to do a deal for Pogba as well as Hazard, but whether they can prise him away from Old Trafford is another matter.
