Manchester United have several players who’s contracts are currently winding down, with it not really looking like the club are in a rush to sort those deals out.
Perhaps the two most pressing matters are Anthony Martial and David de Gea. Both have one-year extension clauses in their contracts. Both have been activated.
Now, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken about that situation, and spoken about it positively, I may add.
‘Hopefully, we’re going to have some good news in the coming weeks.”, the Baby Faced Assassin responded when asked about both Martial and De Gea, according to Samuel Luckhurst.
What brilliant news this would be. Not only is Solskjaer changing things on the field, but he’s also having a huge impact off the pitch as well.
Keeping ahold of De Gea pretty much speaks for itself. He’s the best keeper in the business, and if he signs one more big-money, long-term deal, it’ll guarantee that United have him for his best years.
Martial is hugely talented and learning all the time. This season he has been fantastic under both Solskjaer and Jose Mourinho. If he signs and stays, it’ll lock down our left-wing spot for the next half-decade.
As Ole says, hopefully, we’ll get some extremely good news over the next month or so – and that would be just brilliant.
