For some reason, Manchester United fans like to create a Marcus Rashford/Anthony Martial rivalry. Well, today, that has been denied by the former on social media.

The pair are flourishing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and it’s great to see. I’ll be the first to admit that I was beginning to doubt Toto. Oh, how wrong I was…

Both have hit 20+ goal seasons, with potentially a few games left to further add to that tally… I firmly believe we’re watching a coming of age of the pair – and long may it continue.

It always felt like they’ve had an excellent relationship. They both love playing alongside each other, as they build upon that telepathic connection game-in-game-out.

There’s absolutely nothing with a friendly rivalry, though when the official United Twitter account posted about it, Rashford responded, labelling the 24-year-old Martial ‘his guy’.

It’s true. when Martial wins, everyone wins. United now have a few reliable goal-scorers and it’s really come from nowhere as about six months ago, both Rashford and Martial were super inconsistent.

Again, I’ll admit that I wasn’t sure we’d be able to win the league with those two leading the line. Now, I firmly believe they can fire us to #21.

I don’t doubt that both want to lead United’s top-scorer charts when all is said and done, but that’s just natural, everyone wants to win. Right now, Martial has a slender one-goal advantage courtesy of his winner against LASK. No doubt Rashy will be looking to level it up against Copenhagen on Monday night.

Credit has to go to Solskjaer. Martial is rediscovering that Ballon d’Or sort of form while Rashford’s all-round game has improved so much. When these guys are happy and scoring goals, not many teams will be able to stop them.
