There are some serious changes coming to Old Trafford for the upcoming season as Solskjaer continues to stamp his authority.
The Norwegian was not happy with what he had seen from some of his players last year after they finished sixth in the Premier League.
Solskjaer has demanded young, British talents that are hungry to fight for the badge and Ed Woodward is happy to bankroll him.
It has led to the acquisitions of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, while there are plans afoot to sign Sean Longstaff and Harry Maguire.
But the former Cardiff manager must start offloading some players, too, with a wage bill that continues to balloon over his expansive squad.
And Red Devils expert Mark Ogden has revealed the three stars United are prepared to axe in Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Romelu Lukaku.
“Well there’s a few people they would happily get rid of,” Ogden told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“Defensively Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, they’re both available.
“I think Lukaku obviously is one they would let go.
“There’s a lot of players who are so-called deadwood at United that don’t really have any use to anybody.”
Inter Milan are keen on Lukaku but as of yet they have not adhered to United’s £80m asking price, while other players have left Old Trafford for nothing.
Ogden added: “They’ve let [Antonio] Valencia leave on a free transfer, [Ander] Herrera went as well, [Marouane] Fellaini went in January.
“They have to be careful not to get rid of too many players.
“But I think certainly Darmian and Rojo are the two I would expect to go before the window.
“They’ve just got no future at United.”
