Lo Celso to Tottenham
Tottenham are closing in on the £54m signing of Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso.
Mauricio Pochettino wants to add creativity to his midfield amid concerns that Christian Eriksen could leave.
And Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has revealed that a deal is close.
“Great deal for Mauricio Pochettino,” he tweeted.
“Tottenham is closing Giovanni LoCelso from Betis Sevilla for €60M.
“Betis will replace him with Fekir.”
Man Utd Fernandes bid
Manchester United are preparing a bid for Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese has a release clause of €80m (£72m).
But United chiefs are confident of landing him for significantly less.
And according to The Independent, the club are working on an appropriate offer.
Reports earlier this month suggested United had put a deal for Fernandes on ice until they brought in a new centre-back.
Harry Maguire’s move from Leicester appears to be edging closer and attention can now be turned to the midfield.
Maguire to Man Utd imminent
Manchester United are set to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester ‘imminently’.
An £80m agreement has reportedly finally been reached with the Foxes according to The Independent.
While Solskjaer has focused on getting his team ready, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has been working on deals.
And Leicester were finally persuaded to sell by United’s latest proposal.
The Independent say United will pay £80m with around £10m wrapped up in conditional clauses.
Starsport understands Maguire has told the Foxes he wants to leave, and he looks set to get his wish.
Leicester’s requirements have now been met and they will receive a healthy profit on the £17m they paid Hull for Maguire just two years ago.
Real Madrid have changed their mind over a sale of Arsenal target Dani Ceballos this summer, according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol.
“Ceballos still believes he can have a major impact at Real Madrid in the future – hence he wants to go back,” he told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“But for now, he wants to be happy, he’s been quoted as saying.
“And what would make him happy is playing 40 games next season, and he believes he’ll be able to get that at Arsenal.
“It just needs the final approval of the Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane before it officially gets over the line.
“We were of the understanding perhaps Real Madrid wanted to do a permanent deal, and bring in some money, because they’ve spent a lot in this transfer window.
“But I think their minds were changed when they saw Ceballos perform so well at the European Under-21 Championships.”
Liverpool contact Pepe
Liverpool have made contact with Lille star Nicolas Pepe ahead of a potential summer move.
According to The Times, the Reds have contacted Pepe’s representatives, rather than Lille themselves, to discover whether he is interested in moving to Anfield.
The French side are open to selling the Ivorian provided their £70m valuation is met.
Pepe has three years remaining on his current deal at Lille and the club don’t have to sell their prized asset.
But if Liverpool want to move to the forward they may have to do so swiftly with Manchester United pushing for Pepe’s signature.
United have made progress in their discussions with the Ligue 1 club according to a source close to the player.
