Man Utd to SNUB Man City target
Manchester United are ready to turn their back on Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka, giving rivals Manchester City a free run at the right-back.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to replace Ashley Young as he plots a major squad overhaul.
But while the Norwegian is keen on Wan-Bissaka, he’s ready to work with what he already has at his disposal.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka is very much on Manchester United’s radar along with Manchester City,” David Ornstein told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“But they’re also keen to develop Diogo Dalot and the young Ethan Laird.”
Arsenal want SIX stars
Unai Emery is looking to add six players to his squad this summer, according to BBC reporter David Ornstein.
“I don’t think it will be the most spectacular summer for Arsenal but I do think they have some very important business to be done,” he said on Radio 5 Live.
“Their priorities are a central defender, Jeremy Wilson of the Telegraph mentioned the Getafe and Togo centre-half, Djene Dakonam, he’s under contract until 2023 with a reported value of £13.5m.
“The other priority is a box to box midfielder. Previously, in January, they came close to a deal for Christopher Nkunku from PSG – this is course is to replace Aaron Ramsey. Adrien Rabiot is a player they’ve tried to sign in the past, and they have a long-standing interest in him, however he is a complex individual and has had some issues off the pitch.
“As a sort of secondary brief they’d be looking for a wide forward and in January came close to a deal for Ivan Perisic, and had interest in Yannick Carrasco. Possibly a centre-forward with Danny Welbeck leaving, and Eddie Nketiah would go on loan if they did bring a centre-forward in.
“There is interest in bringing in a left back and possibly a right back, but again those are secondary to the centre-half and box to box midfielder.”
Griezmann to Liverpool?
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp should target Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, according to ESPN FC pundit Craig Burley.
“I actually think that Liverpool would be a great place for Griezmann to go this summer,” he said.
“Liverpool are very much a team on the up at the moment and he could aid Roberto Firmino who also likes to drop deep.
“Liverpool are a huge club who are fighting for league titles with Manchester City and have reached the last two Champions League finals.
“I don’t know if they have got enough money to do it but I wouldn’t go to Manchester United, that’s for sure.
“You talk about how good Griezmann would be linking up with Messi and Barcelona, what about with Liverpool’s front three?
“You look at that and we talk about Liverpool needing that strength in depth, he would add that and Firmino or Salah some games might sit out.”
Tottenham double deal
Spurs are closing in on deals for Andre Gomes and Ryan Sessegnon.
Barcelona midfielder Gomes spent the season on loan at Everton and the Toffees are keen to sign him permanently.
But according to The Sun, Tottenham have hijacked their move and are ‘nearing’ a deal.
The report also claims they’re close to securing a move for Fulham youngster Sessegnon.
