Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified FIVE signings he wants this summer

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Benfica star Joao Felix and a Ligue 1 starlet

Chelsea are on course to sign Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho but FIFA could block a deal

Arsenal ready to sign Bailly

Arsenal are poised to capture Eric Bailly from Manchester United.

And the Gunners could land the Ivory Coast international star for as little as £20m.

According to The Sun, Arsenal will begin negotiations with United at just £20m.

The Red Devils are likely to take a hit on the star Mourinho spent £30m on three years ago.

Bailly was the Portuguese’s first signing at Old Trafford but a departure appears inevitable, especially with Solskjaer set to bring in new faces at the back.

The United man is within Arsenal’s price range, despite their tight budget, and selling to a direct Premier League and top-four rival does not seem to be an issue surrounding Bailly.

Newcastle eye Welbeck

Newcastle are fending off interest from rival clubs in the hunt for Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

The Gunners star is expected to be available on a free transfer this summer.

His current deal at the Emirates is due to expire in June, and his latest injury-hit season means an extension is not forthcoming.

The England international has a host of admirers within the Premier League and around Europe.

Everton are said to be keen as well, but Newcastle are determined to win the race given Welbeck would be a bargain steal.

The future of manager Rafa Benitez remains uncertain at St James’ Park after the club outlined plans to make £100m available as a transfer budget across the next two years.

At just £50m a season after years of next-to-no spending under owner Mike Ashley, Benitez is considering his position with his deal currently expiring in the summer too.

But according to Football Insider, the pursuit of Welbeck will continue regardless of whether Benitez commits to staying.

Newcastle view the Arsenal goalscorer as a quality target available for a bargain.

Solskjaer wants FIVE signings

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants FIVE new signings this summer.

The Telegraph claim Everton striker Richarlison has been identified as a priority target after the Norwegian boss was impressed with him during United’s 4-0 defeat to the Toffees.

Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho has also been discussed but the United hierarchy are now considering Richarlison.

The report claims Solskjaer has already identified another right-back, two midfielders and a centre half to arrive this summer.

Liverpool eyeing double raid

Liverpool could be set to land two of Europe’s hottest young talents this summer, according to reports in France.

Both Benfica’s Joao Felix and Lyon starlet Houssem Aouar have been linked with a host of clubs in recent weeks.

But Liverpool fans have been given a positive update regarding both youngsters.

“Four clubs have already positioned themselves close to the entourage of Benfica’s star Joao Felix,” RMC’s chief football reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi tweeted this week.

“Man City (Pep is a fan of the player), Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester United.

“The player is leaving Benfica this summer! The clause is for €120M (£103m), but it’s not certain if it will be reached.”

When pressed on whether Liverpool would really fork out over £100m on a teenager, Bouhafsi responded: “I said that the clause will probably not be reached. But Liverpool inquired 10 days ago.”

“Liverpool loves Aouar. But there are no concrete discussions for the moment.

“Regarding the Aouar dossier, the whole of Europe is looking at it, but it will accelerate in May.”

AC Milan keeping tabs on Emery

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is a managerial target for Serie A heavyweights AC Milan.

Italian side Milan are going through some managerial turmoil of their own at the moment.

The Rossoneri have won just once in their last seven matches.

And it seems San Siro bosses’ patience with club legend Gennaro Gattuso is growing thin.

Milan are currently fighting it out to secure a top-four spot, guaranteeing their place in next year’s Champions League.

But Gattuso’s future is still not understood to be secured, even if he guarantees the club a spot in UEFA’s premier club competition.

So as Milan bosses plan ahead for next season, Emery has emerged one of the names on their shortlist for replacements, according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.

Coutinho to Chelsea

Chelsea would be on course on sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer – but FIFA could stand in their way.

According to Spanish newspaper SPORT, the Blues have identified Coutinho as their No.1 replacement for Eden Hazard, who is bound for Real Madrid.

The possibility of Coutinho heading to Stamford Bridge appears to be something the player is open to, despite his past association and previous hero status with rivals Liverpool.

Barcelona would not block a potential exit for the creative midfielder, so long as they recoup most of the money spent on him.

However, Coutinho’s future may subsequently be left in the hands of FIFA due to Chelsea’s ongoing battle over their transfer ban.

Chelsea need to overturn the two-window ban imposed upon them by FIFA for breaching rules regarding signing players under 18 years of age.

The club have appealed the ban and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will be able to bring in new additions ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

The FIFA Appeals Committee met on April 11 and Chelsea are waiting for the verdict.

SPORT add only FIFA can prevent Coutinho going to Stamford Bridge this summer.
