Nainggolan has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in the past and came close to moving to England last summer.
The Belgian opted to sign for Inter Milan instead but it seems his time at the San Siro could be cut short after registering just two goals in Serie A this term.
And according to journalist Carlo Pellegatti he has been informed Inter want to sell him to a Premier League team.
Pellegatti has close links to the Milan outfit and has revealed all on a reported call he received from his sources.
“They called me, telling me that Inter wanted to sell him to the Premier [League],” Calciomercato report him saying.
“On him there would be Chelsea, Tottenham and United, the latter struggling with the injury occurred to Fellaini.”
Chelsea are on the lookout for a new midfielder having allowed Cesc Fabregas to depart for Monaco.
Maurizio Sarri has already acquired Gonzalo Higuain to bolster his firepower upfront but is still hopeful of signing a midfielder.
Spurs are also in need of filling a void in the middle of the park having opted to cash in on Chinese interest for Mousa Dembele.
Meanwhile, Pellegatti claims United’s interest in Nainggolan stems from Marouane Fellaini’s injury woes.
Fellaini is set to be sidelined for three to four weeks with a calf injury and despite not playing regularly under Ole Gunnar Solskajer, a replacement is still being considered.
A player of Nainggolan’s calibre rarely becomes available in the winter window and that could spark a fierce battle between all three Premier League clubs.
Should neither club actively move for Nainggolan this month they could renew their interest in the summer.
Nainggolan is under contract with Inter until 2022.
