Manchester United Football Club have improved massively over recent weeks, largely thanks to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Baby Faced Assassin must have been putting in that extra effort on the training ground, with his players seemingly responding to what’s being asked of them. Simply put, it’s great to see United flourishing.
Centre-back was once a problem area for United. Nowadays, with Harry Maguire leading the way, it looks like a really solid position. Chris Smalling is no longer at the club (albeit only on loan), while Phil Jones’ future seems uncertain.
We covered a story before, from The Mirror, in which it was claimed that Jones has been deemed surplus to requirements. As you’d imagine, United fans took to Twitter in their droves to react to the news that the Reds are ready to sell the 28-year-old…
The responses were, well, just as you’d expect…:
Even Newcastle United fans aren’t impressed:
Honestly, fair play if United they can get £12million for a guy who is constantly injured and barely plays. Jones came to Old Trafford with so much promise, but has largely failed to deliver which is a massive shame.
Nowadays it’s easy to forget that he’s still at United, while right now, he’s probably fifth in the centre-back pecking order. He’s 28 now, what’s the point in keeping him around if he’s not going to play?
The fans have made their feelings pretty clear, they no longer want him and Jones has hardly given them a reason to think otherwise…
