England ran out 5-1 winners in their Euro 2020 qualification match.
Ross Barkley scored a brace while Harry Kane, Michael Keane and Raheem Sterling also got on the scoreboard.
Another star to impress was Rice, who made his first start for the Three Lions.
But the 20-year-old cast the criticism aside last night.
Rice completed 71 passes for a 96% pass completion rate, the highest of any England player.
And the midfielder led the way for the Three Lions in tackles (6) and interceptions (2).
The West Ham faithful were left in awe of their young talent’s performance on the international stage.
Rice’s performance comes as:
“Rice retiring Eric Dier”
“A different class tonight,” one supporter said.
“Hardly put a foot wrong.”
Another commented: “What a player.”
While a third compared him to an England legend.
“Rice is up there with Rio [Ferdinand] in quality,” they said.
But not everyone was feeling happy about the 20-year-old’s game.
Tottenham fans were disappointed as Rice played in the position of Eric Dier.
The Spurs man has been a regular for England since breaking through in 2015.
But supporters have been left worried he will be forced out of the Three Lions by the West Ham youngster.
“If Rice carries on that form I doubt we’ll see Dier start many games again,” one supporter said.
Another added: “Rice already a massive upgrade on Eric Dier.”
While a third believed the 25-year-old could be out indefinitely.
“Rice retiring Eric Dier,” they said.
And a fourth added: “Laters Dier.
“Congrats Declan – great performance.”
The midfielder left fans ecstatic last week with his comments after the Czech Republic game.
