What Man Utd told PSG after Neymar for Paul Pogba swap suggestion

PSG are looking to offload Neymar this summer after the Brazilian told them he wanted to leave.

It comes just two years after he made the move to Paris, becoming the world’s most expensive player in the process after a £200m move from Barcelona.

But the former Santos forward has grown desperately unhappy while at the club and is eyeing a departure.

PSG are happy to see him go after a multitude of attitude problems but will not be forced into a decision and will wait for the right offer.

But they have been making enquiries to various clubs about potential swap deals, one being with United.

The Red Devils are encountering their own problems with Pogba, who is in a similar boat to Neymar.

The Frenchman joined for a world-record fee but has grown disillusioned with life at Old Trafford.

And earlier this summer he told the club he wanted to leave, a claim his agent Mino Raiola reiterated before the squad jetted off for a pre-season tour of Australia.

Real Madrid are the frontrunners for the World Cup winner but United have slapped a £150m fee on him.

But PSG have been looking to gatecrash the transfer by offering Neymar as part of the deal, according to the Independent.

However, United are not interested in taking on the Brazil international.

They are aware that he would cost a bomb and do not want to go down this route again.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in the process of rebuilding the squad and that includes offloading the deadwood and freeing up the wage bill.

The Norwegian is interested in taking on young, hungry talents rather than Galactico signings.

And United look set to now spend £80m on Leicester defender Harry Maguire, having already forked out £68m on Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
