What Man Utd's squad think of Paul Pogba after transfer saga this summer

Pogba’s summer has been surrounded in speculation over his future.

Real Madrid and Juventus have been chasing the World Cup winner.

And Zinedine Zidane is still particularly keen on luring his compatriot to the Bernabeu.

Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola even publicly outlined the player’s desire to go during the window.

But with the Premier League transfer deadline having now passed, Pogba knows United won’t be able to replace him.

He started for the Red Devils against Chelsea in their Premier League opener on Sunday, and he appeared to show all signs he is ready to fight for the cause at Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old played an important role in the 4-0 drubbing of Frank Lampard’s men.

And his team-mates in Manchester could not be happier they can rely on the pivotal figure in the middle of the park.

“Most of the Manchester United squad love Pogba”

According to The Sun, most of the Manchester United squad love Pogba, and they want to be out on the pitch with him.

There is no sense of disharmony within the squad over the £89m club-record signing’s open desire to move on this summer.

A return to former club Juventus failed to materialise, though, while Real look unlikely to prove successful in their pursuit before the La Liga window closes on September 2.

Instead, Pogba is acting like captain material at Old Trafford.

And it is said he has only not been made the permanent skipper because it would send out the wrong message so soon after his push to quit the club.

Behind the scenes, The Sun add Pogba providers much of the fun and energy within the United squad at Carrington and away from the pitch.

And it is even noticeable that when Pogba is miserable or unsettled, the rest of the camp is too.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has managed to bring the player round this summer after crunch talks in Australia during pre-season, and that has worked judging by the Chelsea performance.

Up next for Pogba and his team-mates is a trip to Wolves, where they lost twice last year in the Premier League and the FA Cup, on Monday night (8pm).
