Why Man Utd could sign Monaco's Hannibal Mejbri for NOTHING this summer

Manchester United have kept tabs on the 16-year-old for several seasons and made a move to sign him in January.

That attempt was knocked back by the French outfit, but it could turn out to be a blessing for United.

Mejbri has decided to leave the principality after his father, Lofti, claimed the relationship with the club have broken down.

The family are now trying to annul his contract which runs until 2021 and would allow United to sign the youngster for free, according to the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils failed to follow through on their midseason promise and results tailed off massively in the latter part of the season.

A defeat to Cardiff on the season’s final tie broadcasted the rebuilding job required at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer is keen to return the club he once played for to the success of yesteryear and has spoken repeatedly of the changes that need to occur.

Many of those are on the pitch and the Norwegian is under no illusions of the amount of players who are surplus to a side who aspire to once again top the Premier League.

Solskjaer is thought to favour youth, hence his interest in Mejbri, and has made attempts to sign Swansea winger Dan James as well as Borussia Dortmund wonder kid Jadon Sancho.
