Zlatan Ibrahimovic has officially re-signed for Manchester United on a one-year deal

The 35-year-old’s return to Old Trafford was confirmed this afternoon.

Having been released earlier in the summer, United have been convinced to quickly renew his deal.

Ibrahimovic suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in April and was expected to be sidelined until the New Year.

However, the experienced hitman has fought his way back to fitness swiftly.

While he is still a long way from returning to match action, Ibrahimovic is back on United’s books.

“The Swede was earning £367,000 a week last season”

The Swede was earning £367,000 a week last season as he finished as United’s top scorer.

But according to The Sun, Ibrahimovic has penned fresh terms worth £180,000 a week on a one-year deal.

It is a big drop from the £19.1m-a-year pay packet he received last year.

Ibrahimovic is now claimed to be targeting a comeback for October 28 when Manchester United take on Tottenham in the Premier League.

And while his wages have decreased massively, The Sun add he could still land millions in bonuses.

Agent Mino Raiola negotiated big pay outs for reaching certain goal landmarks last term.

And similar incentives appears to have been included in the striker’s new deal.

Starsport understands his basic wages are worth £125,000 a week, with bonuses taking the total figure up signficantly.

Ibrahimovic will now wear the No.10 shirt, having allowed £75m signing Romelu Lukaku to take the No.9 jersey.
