France are taking on Moldova in their first UEFA EURO qualifier at the Zimbru Stadium.
Didier Deschamps led Les Bleus to a second World Cup in the summer after a brilliant tournament in Russia.
And it has made them the favourites to win the EUROs, which will take place next year across a number of countries – with the final being played at Wembley.
But with the likes of Pogba and Griezmann in their side, that task will seem like a walk in the park – especially if the superstars are performing like they are tonight.
With the scores at 0-0 against a dogged defence, it seemed like it would take something a little ‘je ne sais quoi’.
And Pogba, always the man for the extraordinary, was on hand to provide exactly what was needed.
With Griezmann running in behind, the Manchester United man lofted the ball over with a sensational chipped pass that bamboozled the Moldova defence.
And it left the Atletico Madrid striker the simple task of connecting with the ball, which he did in emphatic fashion – smashing a volley past Alexei Koselev.
It has turned out to be the goal to open the floodgates, with Raphael Varane and Olivier Giroud both scoring in the next 12 minutes.
In truth, France should face minimal trouble getting through their group.
Along with Moldova, Deschamps’ men face the likes of Iceland, Turkey, Albania and Andorra.
