Paul Pogba explains why he wants Solskjaer to stay as permanent boss

Manchester United’s overall outlook looks a whole lot better with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the wheel.

The Baby Faced Assassin has made that Old Trafford dressing room a happy one. That simply cannot be understated.

Our talented squad is playing with much more freedom, they’re looking positive, they’re being allowed to get forward and show their ridiculous talent. Is it any surprise we’ve seen a massive upturn in form since?

It’s well documented that Solskjaer is only manager on an interim basis. However, with each passing week, it feels as though the Norwegian is only enhancing his chances at getting the job for good.

Now, perhaps the biggest beneficiary of the Solskjaer regime, Paul Pogba, has had his say…

“Of course we want him to stay,” Pogba said exclusively to Sky Sports. “The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.

“When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club.

“He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players.

“This gave us the freedom to play and enjoy football again because maybe we lost that with the results that we had before.”

It’s obvious that everyone who matters want him to stay. Everyone is performing better, which shows how badly it got under Jose Mourinho.

At this point, despite the two losses recently, I think it’d be a bit absurd if the club are even looking at other options. All the club would do is hurt the players and the fans.

It’s such an obvious case of when rather than if. Here’s where I will give the club credit. They shouldn’t make it official until the season’s end – which would mean they’re sticking to their word and not doing anything too soon.

For now, though, let’s just enjoy the football that’s on display and hopefully, we’ll be sitting in the top four come May.
