Manchester United have certainly seen the best from Paul Pogba with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge.
The Baby Faced Assassin has brought confidence back into the whole squad, with the French midfielder the biggest beneficiary. Now, according to Spanish publication Marca, his days at Old Trafford could be numbered…
They say that Pogba, and his agent, Mino Raiola, are looking for a way out of United – with the Frenchman serious about playing for Real Madrid in the 2019/20 campaign.
Obviously, the report goes on to add that United want Pogba to stay as it wasn’t that long ago they broke a club record to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams. You’d imagine their stance has only gotten stronger given his recent form.
Pogba is an odd one. He was bang average for the better part of two years, but over the last few months, he has been simply sensational.
It would be a shame to lose him just as he’s starting to prove his worth, but could you blame him for wanting to leave? This club isn’t currently challenging for major honours and he’s a player with big ambitions.
From the club’s perspective, if they lost Pogba they would be losing a huge asset in terms of marketing and brand. Unfortunately, these days, you get the feeling United care more about that than what’s happening on the field.
