Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United have believed in youth and given player’s chances that they probably wouldn’t have been given under the previous regime.

The likes of Fred, Axel Tuanzebe, Daniel James and Mason Greenwood have all improved this term and today, another face could now be under consideration.

After being sidelined with ligament damage for six months, today, 22-year-old Timothy Fosu-Mensah was back in training for the first time. He took to Twitter to share the news with his followers.

Fosu-Mensah suffered the injury while playing for Fulham at the back end of last season, before undergoing surgery in April. Now, he’s doing some solo training before presumably stepping things up in the not too distant future.

The Dutchman has become somewhat the forgotten man at Old Trafford, which is a real shame. Under Louis van Gaal, he had an absolutely immense spell in the team, before getting dropped when Jose Mourinho took charge.

Injuries have been a real issue for Fosu-Mensah over the last few years, but now, it’s about putting all that behind him and moving forward. Hopefully, he’ll see some on-field action for the reserves, before making a full, first-team come back at some time in the new year.

Welcome back, Timothy!
