It’s always good to see Manchester United legends return to their former home under any circumstance, and today, we were given a right treat.
Ryan Giggs was pictured at the AON Training Complex this afternoon – as he put his Wales players through their paces in training as they prepare for their upcoming EURO 2020 qualifier against Slovakia this weekend.
Obviously, the Welshman was once in the frame to get the top job at Old Trafford when David Moyes was sacked. Those four games that Giggsy was in charge for felt like a real throwback to the good old times; as he played attractive football and tried to give youth a chance.
He’s loving life managing his beloved country at present, although he’s probably thinking ‘what if’ in regards to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer getting the job on an interim basis instead of him.
I guess that in Giggsy’s current line of work he has stability in his job, whereas if he would have been given the opportunity to manage United on a short-term basis, there would be no guarantee as to whether he’d land it permanently.
Unfortunately, there was no Gareth Bale spotted in amongst it despite recent links; although he was probably there in some capacity…
