Real have made Hazard their top target this summer – with Zinedine Zidane’s return strengthening that claim.
Zidane is the Chelsea star’s hero – he recently confessed to only starting football because of the Frenchman.
“I have a lot of respect for Zidane,” he said. ”He was my idol. Thanks to him I began playing.”
The Belgian has been flirting with Los Blancos since last year while a move in the summer fell through after Chelsea refused to play ball.
But the Blues may be forced into a transfer in the upcoming transfer window, with Hazard entering the final year of his contract.
They could, however, command a £100m fee – something Real have been reluctant to cough up just yet.
And the Bernabeu outfit have a list of alternative targets if a deal cannot be struck for Hazard.
OK Diario report that United and Liverpool are the clubs that Real are looking at.
Zidane wants Florentino Perez to deliver him either Marcus Rashford or Sadio Mane, OK Diario report, with Nabil Fekir of Lyon also in his sights.
Rashford is being talked up as a potential PFA Young Player of the Year after a stellar few months under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Englishman is currently locked in contract talks with United but there has been little progress made.
That has alerted the attentions of Real Madrid, as well as Juventus.
As for Mane, the Senegal striker has been the key cog in Liverpool’s Premier League title surge this season – along with Mohamed Salah.
He has scored 17 goals this season, including a brace against Bayern Munich to help knock them out of the Champions League.
Zidane is looking to bankroll a new look Real team this summer to help them bounce back from a disaster campaign this season.
