Ok folks, this is not a drill. Maybe, just maybe, Manchester United could somehow pull off a move for Jadon Sancho next summer…
Last night, the Daily Mail ran a story in which it is claimed that the superstar 19-year-old wants to leave his current club Borussia Dortmund; giving his ‘growing list of admirers further encouragement’.
Apparently, developments this season have led to the right-winger considering his future and in their byline, the Daily Mail state that both Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing the Englishman. Though the English duo will face overseas competition, with FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain also named.
It’s fair to say Sancho’s relationship with Dortmund is fast becoming a fractured one – but perhaps this is being forced by the player in order to negotiate a move elsewhere.
The Red Devils’ right-wing issue has been well documented for years now, and what better way to fix that than with someone who wholeheartedly fits in line with what Ole Gunnar Solskajer is trying to achieve?
United chiefs will certainly have to dig deep to turn this dream into a reality, while the players will have to do their utmost to deliver Champions League football.
That said, it does feel like a match made in heaven, while also leaving Manchester City fans with a sour taste in the mouth would be rather nice…
