Manchester United made it into the Europa League final four, though it wasn’t all plain sailing. Our favourite moment came after full-time, though, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Copenhagen’s Zeca were involved in a heartwarming full-time conversation.
Luckily, the cameras picked up the moment, which also involved Bruno Fernandes…
Zeca, the Copenhagen captain, is a United fan and at full-time, he headed straight over to Solskjaer to thank him for everything he’s done in Manchester.
From winning the Champions League in 1999, to having United fans believing in this club again in the present day, the Baby Faced Assassin will always be an Old Trafford legend.
It was also lovely to see Ole share a joke with Fernandes, ‘he’s helping (United get it back’, the manager laughingly replied to Zeca…

This is what football is about. Watching videos like this make it easier to see how likeable Solskjaer is for those players who work under him. It’s definitely a stark contrast between the Norwegian and Jose Mourinho, that’s for sure…
You look at how much Paul Pogba is smiling again and how much Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have improved over the last eighteen months. If you can’t see the good work that Solskjaer is doing then I’m not sure what else to say.
Sure, he may not be the manager who delivers United title #21, but he’s cleared out dead-wood, wiped the slate clean and made some brilliant signings. No doubt whoever the next Manchester United manager is, they’ll benefit greatly.
How great would it be if United can end this Europa League campaign with a trophy? Fernandes and company have huge roles to play, but our Baby Faced Assassin deserves it.
This Solskjaer and Zeca embrace will forever live long in my memory, that’s for certain.
