'World class' 'Bargain for most teams' Man United fans react to 22yo's top display for country

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it does feel as though Manchester United are beginning to get their identity back.

The Baby Faced Assassin is putting faith in young players, getting United away from the mould of opting for quick-fixes and marquee names. Perhaps the signing that epitomises that most was the addition of Daniel James.

From day one, the speedy winger has impressed fans. He was the hardest worker over the summer, and that translated to some brilliant pre-season tour performances.

Then when the serious stuff started, James hasn’t looked back. A goal on debut against Chelsea forced Solskjaer into starting the ex-Swansea man with regularity. My, what a decision that turned out to be.

James was playing for his beloved Wales tonight as they beat Azerbaijan 2-0, and again, the winger was absolutely outstanding throughout – scooping the Man of the Match award in the process.

As you’d imagine, the Red Devils fans were buzzing all over Twitter, reacting to the 22-year-old’s top display in the EURO 2020 qualifying match – and rightly so.

One labelled him as world class, while others praised his excellent crossing ability. There was also a subliminal nod to Solskjaer, who signed James for just £15million don’t forget…
